Oldfield, Edmund George William –

Son of the late Rev. Edmund Oldfield, the first Curate-in-Charge at St. Catherine’s Church, Horwich, Lancashire, and of Mrs. Emma Oldfield. (Father was also Rector of St. Elizabeth’s, Reddish, and later Vicar of Spratton.) Of 30, Plymouth Grove, Manchester, Lancashire. Served in the South African Campaign.

Oldfield, James –

Son of Mrs. Oldfield, of 470, Bolton Road, Pendlebury, Lancashire. One of three soldier sons.

Oliver, Arnold –

Of Lower Fold Farm, Heyside, Shaw, Lancashire. Formerly of the Crowthorn National Childrens Home, Edgworth, Turton, Lancashire.

Oliver (Anderton), George –

NOTE:- Served as George ANDERTON. Brother-in-Law of Mrs. Oliver, of 7, Gregson Field, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment under his real name of George Oliver and was discharged on medical grounds.

Ormrod, Frank –

Husband of Nellie Ormrod, of 40, Harry Street, Trafford Road, Salford, Lancashire.

Pacey, George Frederick –

Of Whittle’s Terrace, Church Street, Westhoughton, Lancashire. Wounded in the Dardanelles. Enlisted at Wigan after finding the Bolton Recruiting Office too busy and fought and was wounded with his friend, Private Robert Smith.

Palmer, Ernest –

Son of Mr. J. Palmer, formerly of Bolton and tenant of the Royal Oak Hotel, Neston, Cheshire. Served in the South African Campaign.

Parkin, John Henry –

Son of William Henry and Mary Parkin, of Broughton, Salford, Lancashire; husband of Daisy Parkin, of 11, Bolton Road, Pendleton, Lancashire.

Parkinson, Francis –

Son of George Parkinson, of Islington Square, Salford, Lancashire; husband of Ada Parkinson, of 16, East Robert Street, Salford, Lancashire.

Parkinson, Alfred –

Only son of Joseph and Mary Ann Parkinson, of 72, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 43, Burnham Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1906-1911). An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly Private 2425, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded in the head on 15/05/1915, rejoining his Regiment in December 1915. Commissioned September 1916 to the Manchesters.

Parkinson, Jacob –

Of 11, Rowland Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 23 as an absentee from Salamanka Barracks, Aldershot since 16/08/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 21/08/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).
