Sealey, Reginald –

Son of George Sealey, of 61, Archer Road, Redditch, Warwickshire. Previously enlisted at Stratford-on-Avon as Private 16973, 18th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers 21/01/1915 and discharged as not likely to become an efficient soldier 02/04/1915. Re-enlisted and demobilised.

Son of Mr. Ephraim Simms, of 21, Newport Street, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Smith, James –

Of 86, Walker Street, Preston, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Spence, George Arthur –

Husband of Charlotte Lily Spence (nee Greenfield), of 12, Church Bank, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly a newsagent. Wounded by shrapnel in the leg 12/10/1917 and also lost an eye. Formerly Sapper 212843, Royal Engineers.

Stanton, James Edward –

Of 21, Dawson Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught as an absentee from Aldershot since 18/10/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 20/10/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/27).

Turner, Arthur –

Son of William and Ruth Turner, of 32, Victoria Street, Elton, Bury, Lancashire.

Welsby, William –

Son of Mrs. Ann Welsby. Resided with his sister, Mrs. MacDonald, at 63, Longfield Road, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Reported missing 03/05/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.

Young, Albert –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Young, of 19, Gordon Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Young, of 5, Bert Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Returned from South America where he had a tobacco plantation to enlist in October 1914. Reported wounded on 15/07/1916 and subsequently missing. Formerly “E” Company, 5th Bn., Middlesex Regiment. A brother serving in the Royal Field Artillery and another in the Navy.
