Son of Amelia Haslam, of the George and Dragon Hotel, Oxford Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Of 388, Bury Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Aircraftsman Second Class F44233, Royal Naval Air Service, transferred to Royal Air Force on formation 01/04/1918. Home service only.

Haslam, G H –

Son of David Haslam, of Knowsley Road, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire. Joined the Royal Flying Corps as a cadet November 1917. Transferred to Royal Air Force on formation 01/04/1918. Commissioned 13/07/1918.

Son of Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Haydock (nee Howarth), of Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and formerly of Farnworth, Lancashire.

Heaton, Walter –

Of 18, Hulme Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 25 as an absentee from Ealing appearing before Bolton Magistrates 22/11/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Holden, Frederick –

Son of Alexander Holden, and the late Elizabeth Holden (nee Chadwick); husband of Alice Holden (nee Holt), of 31, Lever Street, Little Lever, Lancashire. Formerly Private S/5872, Rifle Brigade. Wounded by gunshot to the back, ling and hand September 1917. Transferred to Royal Flying Corps 16/03/1918 and Royal Air Force 01/04/1918.

Holt, Alfred –

Son of the late John Thomas and Betsy Holt, of Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Alice Ann Holt, of 289, Manchester Road, Astley, Lancashire. Formerly Air Mechanic Third Class, Royal Flying Corps, and transferred to Royal Air Force on formation 01/04/1918.

Horrocks (Mann), Thomas Henry –

NOTE:- Served as Thomas MANN. Son of late Elizabeth Ann Horrocks (nee Mann), and stepson of John Horrocks, of 12, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Mary Ellen Mann (nee Fletcher), of 6, Royley Row, Kearsley, Lancashire. Previously served as Corporal 3182, Lancashire Fusiliers, in the South African Campaign, having enlisted 06/05/1897 at Bury, Lancashire, and discharged 05/05/1903 as time-expired. Wounded through mustard gas 1917. Joined Royal Flying Corps 11/01/1918 and transferred to Royal Air Force on formation 01/04/1918.

Houghton, Herbert Arthur –

Son of Thomas R. Houghton, of 241, Starkie Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915, “Group System”. Mobilised as Private 25896, 3rd Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers 26/04/1916. Transferred to Royal Flying Corps 09/08/1916 and to Royal Air Force on formation 01/04/1918.

Howard, Stanley –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. William Howard, of 6, Holly Avenue, Walkden, Lancashire, and formerly of 103, Manchester Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Wounded in the arm 27/02/1915. Formerly Private / Lance Corporal 2666, 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded in February 1915 and in 1916. Transferred to Royal Flying Corps 05/12/1915, and to Royal Air Force 01/04/1918. St. Paul’s Walkden.
