Martin, John –

Husband of Mrs. Martin, of 2, Smith’s Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Farnworth Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Called up as a reservist 04/08/1914, and went to the front February 1915, and stationed at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley.

Martin, Stanley –

Brother of Mrs. Hesketh, of Over-bare, Entwistle, Turton, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a meter inspector in the Bolton Corporation Waterworks Department. Enlisted October 1914. Reported missing since 30/11/1917, and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war at Dulmen.

Martin, Thomas Whittle –

Of Clovelly, Hale, Cheshire; brother of Mrs. Bateson, wife of Dr. H. Bateson, of The Limes, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Attached to the Royal Scots. Killed by a shell whilst attending to wounded under fire.
