Husband of Mrs. Heaton, of 215, St. Helens Road, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a bus driver for the Bolton Corporation. Called up as a reservist at the commencement of hostilities. Reported missing 02/06/1941 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war in Crete.

Higgins, Edward –

Previously enlisted 29/08/1914 at Farnworth as Private 13652, 9th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, and discharged 31/10/1914 as not likely to become an efficient soldier. Re-enlisted 27/07/1915 at Bolton as Private 22353, 3rd Bn., Border Regiment, serving in France 1915-16, and discharged due to ill-health 05/06/1916.
