Stated on enlistment being time expired from previous service with 2nd Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Gilmore, John –

Of 10, Brown Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 26 en-route to Chester as a deserter since 31/05/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 24/07/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).

Gregory, Edward –

Son of Mrs. Gregory, of 39, Price Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Wounded in the left shoulder blade and treated at Valetta, Malta.

Son of James and Margaret Ellen Grogan (nee Flaherty), of 12, Eldon Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire.

Hamblett, E –

Husband of Mrs. Hamblett, of 81, Darley Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted aged 22 August 1914. Wounded 21/03/1918 by gunshot in the left leg, which was amputated 30/03/1918.

Hamilton, John –

Husband of Cathrina McClure Hamilton, of 24, Friars Vennell, Dumfries, Dumfriesshire, and formerly of Burnley, Lancashire. Formerly resided with his grandmother, Mrs. Monsdell, at 331. Chorley Road, Swinton, Lancashire. Died from wounds at a Casualty Clearing Station in France.

Of 6, Irwell Street, Radcliffe, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Heenan, Thomas George Grandon –

Son of William P. and K. M. Heenan, of, 42, Derwent Road, Stoneycroft, Liverpool, Lancashire. Formerly a member of staff of the Bolton Labour Exchange. Commissioned. Formerly 11th Bn., South Staffordshire Regiment. Attached 1st Bn., Royal Dublin Fusiliers at time of death.

Hill, Sidney –

Son of John and Margaret Anna Hill, of 136, Eskrick Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Fought at Gallipoli, and wounded 01/07/1916 at The Somme. Died from a gunshot wound penetrating the liver. Second of two sons to be killed. Incorrectly recorded as Rifle Brigade. on the Bolton County Borough Roll of Honour.
