Ruscoe, Ernest –

Son of Abraham and Betsy Ruscoe, of 318, Manchester Road East, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Formerly 32675, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Killed by a shell.

Seeler, Cornelius –

Husband of Sarah Jane Seeler (formerly Cotterell nee Peart), of 9, Hengist Street, Tonge Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted December 1914.

Selkirk, Robert –

Son of the late Charles Selkirk and of Betsy Selkirk (nee Walker); husband of Mary Ann Selkirk (nee Smith), of 13, Tyson Street, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire; brother of Mrs. Gaskell, of 65, Parrot Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Reported wounded and missing, and subsequently officially regarded as killed. Wrongly recorded as Rifle Brigade on Bolton County Borough Roll of Honour.

Shackleton, Albert –

Son of Herbert and Ann Shackleton; husband of Annie M. Shackleton of 59, Campbell Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire; later of 89, Lorne Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Severely crushed when buried in a trench at Gallipoli, treated at hospitals in Cairo, Birmingham and Bolton. Developed dysentery and complications and died at Bolton Royal Infirmary. Interred in Farnworth Cemetery 06/03/1916.

Stones, Thomas –

Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Stones, of 26, Higher Street, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Reported wounded and missing since 17/08/1917, and subsequently presumed killed. Memorial in Farnworth (St. James) Churchyard.
