Gerrard, Ernest –
Husband of Mrs. Gerrard, of 22, Battenberg Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for ten years a driver on the Dunscar and Farnworth routes for the Bolton Corporation Tramways Department. Enlisted April 1915. A fire broke out close to some ammunition, and in attempting to warn a comrade of the danger, both were caught in the explosion of the ammunition and killed.
