Glasgow, Harry –

Eldest son of Thomas and Hannah Glasgow, of 19, Bolton Road, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of 23, Loxham Street, Great Lever, Lancashire. Died after being shot through the shoulder on 24/10/1918, the bullet penetrating his chest.

Glassbrook, Cyril Lund –

Son of John Thomas Glassbrook, of 103, Queensgate, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in October 1917 and underwent treatment at No.2 Canadian General Hospital at Le Treport, France and later in Netley Hospital in November having had his left leg amputated just above the knee and suffering from wounds in the left arm and shell shock, caused by a shell dropped from an aeroplane.

Of 227, Spa Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Police Constable 190 of the Bolton County Borough Police since 01/04/1913 until enlistment for War Service. (Bolton Archives: ABJ/22/215). Returned to the police force 06/01/1919.

Of 3, Uganda Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 33 as an absentee from Colchester since 07/01/1916 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 10/01/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).
