Griffiths, Major –

Of 30, Bromwich Street, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Posted to the Royal Field Artillery at Leeds in January 1916. Previously had been adjutant in the 3rd East Lancashire Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.

Grime, Thomas –

Of 26, Victoria Grove, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 1811, Royal Field Artillery. Promoted from Bombardier 04/09/1915. Admitted to hospital with fever from Gallipoli in October 1915. Three brothers also served.

Grime, Ernest –

Son of James Henry and Ann Grime (nee Ainsworth). Of Holly Bank, Entwistle, Turton. Enlisted March 1915. Killed by a gas shell which exploded at the entrance to his dug-out.
