Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardcastle, of 287, Tonge Moor Road, Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire. Served in Egypt, Dardanelles and France.

Hardman, Ernest Charles –

Son of William and Nancy Hardman, of 611, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Sister resided at 73, Gibbon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Goods Porter at Bolton, Lancashire.

Hardman, Francis –

Son of Peter and Sarah Ann Hardman, of 42, Venture Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Sarah Alice Hardman (nee Pickvance), of 215, Lever Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 15, Hurst Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously a tram driver on the Brownlow Fold route, he went to the front on 01/10/1916, being wounded on 01/12/1917 necessitating amputation of the right arm. His name is on the Roll of Honour at St. Mark’s Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher. Left a wife and child at 28, Rishton Lane, Bolton, Lancashire.

Of 87, Rochdale Road, Heap Bridge, Heywood, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915.

Hardman, George –

Of 77, Turton Road, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. Of 10, Galindo Street, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Sustained leg injuries when thrown from his horse on a reconnoitring expedition in Salonika and hospitalised at Malta in March 1917.
