Of 33, Tempest Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Caught aged 36 as an absentee from Forest Row since 21/09/1915, and from Colchester since 03/04/1916. Appeared before Bolton Magistrates 27/09/1915 and 15/04/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26 & JBO/1/27).

Hulme, Percy –

Son of Grace Hulme, of 266, Turton Road, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire, and the late Edward Hulme; husband of Mary Hulme (nee Laycock), of 6, Galindo Street, Bradshaw, Turton, Lancashire. Spent a period in Ireland before being drafted to Egypt in January 1916, and then to France in April 1916. Elder brother Thomas also served in France.

Of 254, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Attached Headquarters 331st Brigade. Reported in a base hospital suffering from a chest wound and the loss of an arm, November 1917.

Son of George and Ann Hunt, of 29, Jethro Street, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire. Died at the No.1 General Hospital, Etretat, France from wounds received in action.
