Mutch, Albert Holden –

Son of William John and Catherine Mutch; husband of Catherine Mutch (nee Bailey), of 26, Pedder Street, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a striker at Horwich Loco Works. Wounded in the left shoulder by gunshot 06/10/1916. Three brothers also served.

Nall, Joseph –

Elder son of Joseph and Annie Nall, of Thurgarton, Broad Oak Park, Worsley, Lancashire; husband of Edith Elizabeth Nall (nee Francklin). Enlisted 1908. Promoted from Captain to Major 11/09/1914. Sometimes incorrectly reported as Richard Nall in local newspapers. Wounded in the left arm in October 1918.

Of 74, Forge Street, Rhymney, Monmouthshire. Caught aged 29 as an absentee from Preston since 22/12/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 31/01/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).
