Son of Albert Smith and Annie Constance Redman, of 287, Bolton Road, Edgworth, Turton, Lancashire; husband of Helene Henriette Redman (nee Buquet), who he married in Dieppe, France on 18/01/1919. Served as a Constable in the Bolton County Borough Police after the war until retirement.
