Waterhouse, Herbert Batty (Bert) –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Waterhouse, of Broom Lea, Lostock Park, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Wounded in the head by a German sniper in January 1916. Sacrificed his life in an effort to rescue a comrade at High Wood.
