A signaller and telegraphist, was in July 1917 sent a letter of commendation by the Brigadier-General of Heavy Artillery of the 2nd ANZACs for repairing damaged wires under heavy fire.

Formerly Bombardier 69159, 126 Seige Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Wounded by a shell in the right arm and hospitalised in France September 1916. Commissioned 26/03/1917.
