McDonald, Francis –

Son of Michael McDonald, of 198, Willows Lane, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Lillie McDonald. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

Miller, John James –

Son of George and Ann Miller, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Alice Loynd Miller, of Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Great Lever Division of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

Cousin of the Sharples family, of 71, Albert Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. Served in Salonika.

Ormandy, B –

Of Horwich, Lancashire. A member of the St. John Ambulance Bridgade.

Riley, James –

Husband of Louisa Riley, of 29, Coop Street, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. A Sergeant of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, which he joined at the start of the South African Campaign. Formerly employed as caretaker of the Co-Operative Society Reading Rooms at Halliwell. Body not recovered for burial.

Son of George and Martha Robinson, of 45, Osborne Grove, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Eva Robinson (nee Ormerod).

Roscoe, James –

Elder son of Robert and Lavinia Roscoe, of 185, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Alice May Roscoe (nee Roberts).

Scholes, F –

A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Admitted to hospital in Malta from Gallipoli suffering from dysentery.

Shanks, W –

Champion featherweight boxer in the naval boxing championships at Immingham, 1916.

Smith, David William Parker –

Husband of Eliza Rebecca Smith, of 3, Tomlinson Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly a boiler-maker at Horwich Loco Works. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

Stockham, George Edward –

Son of William Henry and Alice Matilda Stockham (nee Sainsbury); husband of Mary Stockham (nee Kitt), of 31, Mercia Street, Daubhill, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company at Trinity Street Station as foreman cleaner in the carriage and wagon department. A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Seriously wounded 17/05/1915 resulting in both feet being amputated. Died at the military hospital in Alexandria, Egypt.

A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Attached to the Plymouth Bn., Royal Marine Medical Unit.

Walch, C –

A member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Served aboard a hospital ship in the Dardanelles Campaign.
