Son of Mr. and Mrs. Holt, of 19, Winter Street, Horwich, Lancashire; husband of Catherine Holt, of 2, Willow Bank, John Street, Penicuik, Midlothian, and formerly of 59, Curtis Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Enlisted 1914. Died from wounds in Germany two days after being taken prisoner of war.

Howells, Jenkin –

Son of Mary Howells, of 15, Church Street, Treherbert, Glamorganshire. Of 42, Daisy Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously enlisted at Bolton on 01/09/1914 as Private 15242, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, and discharged as not likely to become an efficient soldier 19/09/1914. Re-enlisted Royal Scots and again discharged.

Husband of Mrs. Leather, of 13, Vine Street, Deane Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Lance Corporal 18663, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported as missing on 12/03/1918 and confirmed prisoner of war at Gustrow.

Lee, Frank –

Of 3, Harkers Place, Oldham, Lancashire. Caught aged 20 as an absentee from Fife since 11/10/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 17/10/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).
