Son of Henry and Mary Ann Tustin. Wounded in left forearm on 30/07/1916. Formerly Private 2639, 2nd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Veness, William Charles –

Husband of Ethel Maud Vaness, of 16, Doveredge Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Served on North-West Frontier of India (1895-8) and in the South African Campaign.

Wells, Stephen –

Son of William and Joyce Wells, of Marton, Rugby, Warwickshire. His brother Walter Wells died on active service.

Wells, Walter –

Son of William and Joyce Wells, of Marton, Rugby, Warwickshire. Police Constable 187 of the Bolton County Borough Police, of 20, Broad-o’th’-Lane, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire prior to being called out for Army Service 06/08/1914. (Bolton Archives: ABJ/22/203). He was normally resident of Chapen-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire, at the time of his death. Died at Broadwater Hospital, Ipswich and interred with full Military Honours at Ipswich. His brother Stephen also served.

Son of Mrs. Winder, of 22, Thynne Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1916. Formerly 33197, 12th, 14th and 8th Bns., Gloucestershire Regiment. Wounded by gunshots in the left thigh and hospitalised at Leeds.
