Of 183, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Caught aged 25 as an absentee from Draycott Camp, Chisleden, Wiltshire since 21/10/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 26/10/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26).

Husband of Ellen Winstanley, of 6, Watt Street, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 62, Cannon Street, and 26, Woodbine Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915.

Wood, Joseph –

Son of Levi and Alice Wood, of 92, Cloister Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Enlisted May 1915 in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Commissioned March 1917.

Woodward, Thomas –

Of 3, Shuttle Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Wounded 02/04/1918 and brought to Southampton for treatment.
