Ainsworth, Herbert –

Son of James Ainsworth, of 9, Shaftesbury Road, Swinton, Lancashire, and formerly of 68, Cellini Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Reported missing since 13/07/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Allcock, Samuel (Tom) –

NOTE:- Served as Tom ALLCOCK. Husband of Annie Allcock (nee Blackburn), of 34, Robert Street, Patricroft, Lancashire. Served on the Western front 1915-16; 1917-18 Eastern front.

Alty, Robert –

Son of Thomas Arthur and Charlotte Alty, of Salford, Lancashire.

Amos, Joseph –

Of 64, Eldon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly served with the 4th Bn., King’s Liverpool Regiment, discharged time expired. Formerly 1975, 5th Bn., South Lancashire Regiment.

Arstall, John –

Husband of Mary Ann Arstall, of Derby Cottage, Breightmet Fold, Breightmet, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Ashworth, George –

Husband of the late Elizabeth Ann Ashworth, of 18, Urmston Street, Leigh, Lancashire.

Ashworth, John –

Of 18, Georgiana Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Caught aged 25 as an absentee from Liscard, Cheshire since 27/11/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 10/12/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).
