Sister of Mrs. Bennett, of 24, Charles Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly trained and employed at the Bolton Union’s Townleys Hospital. A member of the Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve, she served at Bradford War Hospital and later Wharncliffe Hospital, Sheffield.

Bleasdale, Ada –

Of Farnworth, Lancashire. A nursing member of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.

Gee (Stanley), Ada –

Daughter of John Gee, of 153, Mayor Street, Bolton, Lancashire; wife of George A. Stanley, of Gateacre, Liverpool. Enrolled as a VAD Nurse June 1915.

Higginbottom, Gladys –

Daughter of Robert and Rachel Higginbottom, of 118, Bridgewater Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Volunteered for nursing service July 1916.

Horrocks, Jane –

Daughter of Walter and Eliza Horrocks, of 166, Elgin Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire. Served with the Voluntary Aid Detachment / British Red Cross Society. Later trained as a nurse at Nottingham General Infirmary.

Daughter of Louise Joyce, of 36, Hilden Street, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Thomas Joyce, formerly licensee of the Kenyon Arms, Little Hulton, Lancashire; wife of David Orr. Served as a Sister under the auspices of the British Committee, French Red Cross.

Daughter of Martha Ratcliffe, of 36, Balmoral Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Wardley Mills, Walkden, of Bugess, Ledward & Sons. Working for the Red Cross at the Royal Hospital, Southport.

Daughter of Elizabeth Thornley, of 19, Hughes Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late William Thornley. Served in Malta from 27/11/1915 to 28/05/1916.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Robinson, of Salford, Lancashire; wife of Lieutenant William Vernon Trenbath, of 78, Parrin Lane, Monton, Lancashire.
