Forrest, Henry (Harry) –

Son of William Henry Forrest, formerly of Bolton Road, Edgworth, and Wellington Road, Turton, Lancashire. Of 7, Collins Road, Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Brothers Peter in the Navy at Hong Kong, and George also with the Colours. Edgworth Wesleyans.

Fox, Anthony –

Son of Bernard Fox, of 1, Hartley Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and the late Sarah Ellen Fox. Died in a casualty clearing station from wounds received the previous day. Thrice previously wounded.

Of 110, Waterloo Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915.

Fryer, John –

Son of John and Nancy Fryer, of 39, Croasdale Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 29, Clarence Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915.

Gallagher, James –

Of 20, Rossini Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 20 as an absentee from Pembroke Dock since 11/11/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 18/11/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Garforth, George –

Eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Garforth, of 1, Thorne Bank, Deane, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1914. Formerly 3rd East Lancashire Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Caught aged 20 as a deserter from the 21st Bn., Welsh Regiment at Kinmell Park, Rhyl since 09/10/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 16/10/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). Wounded on 31/07/1917 and died at a clearing station four days later.

Of 370, Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, Turton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915.

Gerrard, William –

Son of John and Margaret Gerrard, of 154, Bridgewater Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted July 1915. Killed by the same shell which killed J Walsh and H Walmsley.
