Son of James and Alice Rowles, of 13, Crookell Street, Salford, Lancashire. Wounded 10/09/1915 and died at 12th Field Ambulance.

Husband of Ann Settle (nee Edwards), of 5, Coal Street, Blackrod, Lancashire, and formerly of 1, Mount Pleasant Yard, Blackrod, Lancashire. Previously enlisted 04/01/1915 as Gunner 73835 at Horwich and served 3 months with the Royal Field Artillery and discharged as medically unfit. Re-enlisted. Wounded.
