Of 32, Charles Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Caught aged 19 as an absentee from Sittingbourne since 30/05/1915 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 05/06/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26)

Of Bank Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 40 as an absentee from 1st/12th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Lytham, and again as an absentee from 2nd/12th Bn. at Lytham since 08/04/1916. Appeared before Bolton Magistrates 18/01/1916 and 10/04/1916 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26 & JBO/1/27).
