Of 65, Kirk Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Caught aged 19 as an absentee from Chester Castle, Chester since 15/03/1918 and from Knowsley Park, Prescot since 28/03/1918 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 21/03/1918 and 02/04/1918 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29).

Young, Robert John –

Husband of Catherine Young, of 74 Garnet Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and later of 187, Bloor Street East, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Formerly employed by the Bolton Corporation Waterworks Department prior to emigrating to Canada. Died after being hit by a shell splinter.

Second son of Mr. and Mrs. Young, of 5, Bradford Road, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Past pupil of Haulgh Council School. Formerly of the Royal Scots. Commissioned August 1917.

Young, Thomas –

Son of John and Elizabeth Young (nee Monks), of 96, Newearth Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Formerly Private R/12820, 14th Bn., King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Wounded by gunshot/shrapnel in the buttock, forearm and hand in May 1916.

Young, Thomas –

Son of Mr. Robert Young, of 138, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Reported missing and later killed.
