Of 40, Thwaites Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly K21658, served as Stoker First Class on HMS London and HMS Vivid. Caught aged 23 as an absentee from Invergordon since 24/12/1917 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 31/12/1917, adjourned to 03/01/1918 to be sent back to his ship under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/29). Awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (10238) 12/09/1929.
