Of Tonge Moor, Bolton, Lancashire. Injured by a road-side IED (Improvised Explosive Device) in Afghanistan on 03/02/2012, and died from his injuries two months later at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, Warwickshire. Funeral at Holy Trinity Church in Littleborough, Rochdale, Lancashire.

Stroud, John David –

Son of John and Sheila Grace Stroud of Egerton, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Jean Stroud, of Bromley Cross, Bolton, Lancashire. One of thirteen of the ship’s company killed when the ship was hit by an Argentinean Exocet missile. Memorial in Walmsley (Christ Church) Churchyard. Buried at Sea on 13/06/1982.

Thomasson, Brian –

Son of Joseph and Mrs. Thomasson, of Gargrave Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed by an IRA bomb in Londonderry when trying to warn a group of youths that the bomb was about to explode.
