Shackleton, Albert –
Son of Herbert and Ann Shackleton; husband of Annie M. Shackleton of 59, Campbell Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire; later of 89, Lorne Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Severely crushed when buried in a trench at Gallipoli, treated at hospitals in Cairo, Birmingham and Bolton. Developed dysentery and complications and died at Bolton Royal Infirmary. Interred in Farnworth Cemetery 06/03/1916.

Died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen, received in the Dardanelles, but died shortly after arrival at hospital in Alexandria.
