Dixon, Robert Syddall –

Son of Thomas Alfred and Mary Ellen Dixon, of 1, Springside Cottages, Belmont, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1914. Formerly Gunner 1395, 3rd East Lancashire Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Served in Gallipoli and Egypt before going to France.

Easey, Harry –

Son of William and Mary Easey, of “Sunny Bank”, Summerseat, Bury, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915.

Edge, Frank –

Son of Mr. J. H. and Mrs. Margaret Edge, of 481, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed when a German aeroplane dropped bombs on a clearing hospital.

Farrer, Joe –

Of 70, Railway Street, Heywood, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915.

Fish, Lawrence –

Son of Thomas and Harriett Fish (nee Schofield), of 17, Silvester Street, School Hill, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Gunner 1120, Royal Field Artillery. Father in France with the Royal Field Artiilery, and brother in France with the Royal Engineers.

Gallagher, John Robert –

Son of James and Margaret Gallagher, of 14, High Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Annie Gallagher, of 22, Kirby Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in the Suez region on 04/02/1915. Died at Bolton Infirmary as a result of these wounds.

Garner, Henry –

Son of Mrs. Tootill, of 23, Nuttall Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of Craddock Street, Bolton, Lancashire. A telephone linesman. Killed by gunshot to the head.

Garnett, Jerry Knowles –

Only son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Garnett, of The West House, Cold Springs, Buxton, Derbyshire; grandson of Mr. Jeremiah Garnett, of The Grange, Bromley Cross, Bolton, Lancashire. Of Cox Green Mills, Turton, Lancashire. Promoted to Second Lieutenant in August 1914. Promoted to Lieutenant in February 1915. Died at Malta of Enteric Fever.

Goulden, Donald Roy –

Son of Thomas and Frances Goulden, of “The Haven”, Harboro’ Road, Ashton-on-Mersey, Lancashire

Gray, Walter –

Youngest of the five sons of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gray, of Beechdene, 78, Central Road, Blackpool, Lancashire. Two brothers also served, and a brother-in-law was killed at Mons.

Guffogg, Samuel –

Son of Albert Edward and Jane Ellen Guffogg (nee Bailey), of 117, Deane Church Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Died at Kephalos, Imbros of wounds received the day before at Gallipoli.

Halsall, Harry G –

Son of John and Elizabeth Halsall, of 100, Penn Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted July 1915. Killed by a shell.

Hamer, James –

Son of William and M. H. Hamer, of 369, Bridgeman Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 177, Settle Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire.

Hardman, Ernest Charles –

Son of William and Nancy Hardman, of 611, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Sister resided at 73, Gibbon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Goods Porter at Bolton, Lancashire.
