Hardman, Francis –

Son of Peter and Sarah Ann Hardman, of 42, Venture Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Sarah Alice Hardman (nee Pickvance), of 215, Lever Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 15, Hurst Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously a tram driver on the Brownlow Fold route, he went to the front on 01/10/1916, being wounded on 01/12/1917 necessitating amputation of the right arm. His name is on the Roll of Honour at St. Mark’s Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher. Left a wife and child at 28, Rishton Lane, Bolton, Lancashire.

Son of Thomas and Mary E. Hart, of 59, Harper’s Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School.

Harvey, George Winfred –

Son of William and Sara Ann Harvey, of Ashmeadow, Bury, Lancashire. Of Millstone Lane, Nantwich, Cheshire. Acting Captain at time of death.

Youngest son of Walter and Hannah Heywood, of 32, Waverley Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly a postman at Bolton Post Office. Enlisted August 1915. Mortally wounded 13/08/1917.

Holden, Thomas –

Son of Richard and Mary Ann Holden, of 63, Rothwell Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Gunner 137, 1st/3rd East Lancashire Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, enlisted 17/11/1908, discharged 22/01/1916 as completed period of engagement. Re-enlisted in Royal Garrison Artillery.

Hope, Lewis –

Husband of Mrs. Hope, of 34, Hardy Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Gunner 1233, Royal Field Artillery. Father serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps in France, and a brother, Bill, in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in Egypt (1917).
