Son of Mrs. Griffiths, of 6, Hughes Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted July 1915. Formerly 5643, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Griffiths (Williams), Edward (John Edward) –

NOTE:- Served as John Edward WILLIAMS. Son of Mrs. Griffiths (formerly Williams), of 23, Beechwood Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Worked for the London and North Western Railway Company as a Fireman at Plodder Lane. Enlisted January 1915. His brother George served in the Royal Field Artillery and his father served as a guard at Knockaloe prisoner of war camp. Died at No.21 Casualty Clearing Station, Somme, France.

Husband of Lily Grime, of 63, Latham Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 49, Lena Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 3420, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Posted missing 10/04/1918 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of John Edwin and Dorothy Agnes Grime, of 646, Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute (1903). Successfully enlisted August 1915 on his fourth attempt.

Grimes, Charles Richard –

Son of Charles Richard and Martha Mary Grimes (nee Munfield), of 24, Everton Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Alice Grimes (nee Dawson), of 12, Everton Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Sapper 8672, West Lancashire Division, Royal Engineers. Died at 19th Casualty Clearing Station, France of gunshot wounds.

Husband of Phoebe Grimshaw (nee Yarwood). Died at 8 Watt Street aged 36 years in August 1923 and interred in Bolton (Heaton) Cemetery in grave 2. M. CE. 58. on 18/08/1923.

Grundy, Albert –

Son of the late William Grundy, and of Sarah Grundy. Resided with Mrs. Priscilla Walker, at 19, Benson Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Wounded at Gallipoli and admitted to the 19th General Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt on 03/07/1915 with shrapnel wounds to his right thigh, right eye, and right armpit. Brother William serving with the Royal Field Artillery.
