Bardsley, Harry –

Son of George Edward and and the late Sarah Bardsley, of 91, Grasmere Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Middle of three brothers, the other two both wounded. Formerly a locomotive fireman with the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Killed at the same time as his friend Gunner Robert McEvoy.

Attached to the 18th Bn., London Regiment at time of death. Duplicated entry on Bolton County Borough Roll of Honour as also listed under Royal Army Service Corps.

Son of Henry and Ellen Barlow, of 1, Barton Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly Private 3804, Seaforth Highlanders. Wounded December 1916.

Son of Sarah Barlow, of Horrobin Fold, Smithills, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 1139, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire. 15 years service in the Navy. Body not recovered for burial.

Son of John and the late Orpha Ellen Barlow (nee Brooks), of 94, Darley Street, Halliwell, Bolton, Lancashire, and stepson of Mary Barlow (nee Chesworth). Formerly King’s Liverpool Regiment. Reported missing from 10/08/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Mrs. Barlow, of 379, Halliwell Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Hit by a piece of shell in instantly killed at Monchy.

Barlow, John Lee –

Son of Josiah and Mary Jane Barlow, of 19, Lowther Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 48, Eustace Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a clerk at Lostock station by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company. Enlisted April 1917. Formerly 69755, 106th (Training Reserve) Bn., Royal Fusiliers. Killed when hit on the back of the neck with a piece of shrapnel.

Son of William and Flora Barnes. Of 14, Arkwright Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Born at Preston, Lancashire. Formerly 17653, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 26/09/1917 and succumbed two days later.
