Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes, of 15, Lark Hill, Farnworth, Lancashire. Died in a field ambulance whilst being operated on for a gun shot wound in his right leg. Step-brother Harry Allen served in France.

Son of John and Ellen Jackson, of 15, High Stile Fold, Kearsley, Lancashire. Formerly 36277, King’s Liverpool Regiment. Killed instantly by a shell. Memorial in Farnworth Cemetery.

Kenyon, Frederick –

Adopted son of Miss Windle, of 14, Queen Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915. Died from heatstroke in Mesopotamia.

Lancaster, Fred –

Of 123, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Formerly 18099, 6th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Shot through the lung in 1915 and spent 3 months in hospital in Malta and a further 2 years in England. Returned to France in May 1918 with the King’s Liverpool Regiment. Killed by gunshots to the head. Memorial in Farnworth Cemetery.

Of 51, Park Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly a member of the Farnworth police force. Enlisted October 1915. Formerly Pioneer 114075, Labour Bn., Royal Engineers. Died at Whalley Hospital. Interred in Great Lever (St. Michael) Churchyard.
