Jackson, James –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur S. Jackson, of 88, Manchester Road, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1916. Formerly Private 6926, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. A Lewis gunner. Wounded by bullets in the right leg and left hand 26/10/1917, and treated at Moor Park Hospital, Preston.

Jackson, John Charles –

Husband of Sarah Jackson, of 4, North Avenue, Highfield, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of Bentinck Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted aged 17 years. Formerly 4607, Lancashire Fusiliers. Reported as Charles John in F&WJ. Committed suicide at the home of Emily Mapley at Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire where he was billeted.

Jameson, Ellis –

Of 80, Park Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted in 1914. Three years regular service with Lancashire Fusiliers and 9 years on reserve. Killed by shrapnel whilst on sentry duty in trenches.

Son of J. W. and Jane Johnson, of 15, Vernon Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the waterworks offices at the Town Hall. Enlisted January 1915. Died of burns in France following a shell bombardment. Reported as Arthur in the BC.
