Son of Tom and Susannah Worsley, of 255, Manchester Road West, Little Hulton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Worsley, of 36, Higher Street, New Bury, Farnworth, Lancashire. Died at Fazakerley Hospital, Liverpool, from wounds received in Dardanelles. His brother John also served.

Worthington, Fred A –

Son of Mrs. Hercock (formerly Worthington), of 40, Sandwich Street, Walkden, Lancashire, and formerly of 110, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth. Resided with his grandfather, Mr. Stewart, at 32, Penn Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Employed at Horwich Loco Works in the gas-producing department. Previous territorial service with 4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Posted missing and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of John Frederick and Henrietta Wright, of Monden, Fayette County, West Virginia, U.S.A., and formerly of 125, Darley Street, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Wright, Robert James –

Husband of Mrs. Wright, of 38, Hilton Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Enlisted October 1915. Reported missing since 08/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Yates, Ernest –

Son of Ester Ann Yates (nee Lees), of 13, Penn Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and the late James Thomas Yates. Reported missing since 27/05/1918 and subsequently presumed killed.

Yates, Moses –

Husband of Sarah Jane Yates, of 135, Cemetery Road, Kearsley, Lancashire, and formerly of 34, Macdonald Street, Moses Gate, Farnworth, Lancashire. Returned from America to rejoin his regiment as a reservist at the outbreak of war. Died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen, received in the Dardanelles, but died shortly after arrival at hospital in Alexandria.

Son of George and Elizabeth Yaxley. Lodged with Mrs. Syddall at 137, Darley Street, Farnworth, Lancashire.

Young, John Thomas (Jack) –

Son of David and Alice Ann Young, of 80, Worsley Road, Farnworth, Lancashire. Formerly employed as an assistant at the Farnworth Co-operative Society’s drapery stores. Enlisted March 1916. Formerly 4898, Cheshire Regiment. Memorial in Farnworth (St. James) Churchyard.

Son of Mr. Robert Young, of 138, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Reported missing and later killed.
