Kirkpatrick, James Thomas –

Son of William and Betsy Kirkpatrick; husband of Esther Amelia Annie Kirkpatrick (nee Morris), of 47, Church Street, Little Lever, Lancashire. Formerly Private 203632, 20th and 3rd Bn. Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died aged 33 years 28/12/1920, and interred 31/12/1920.

Kirwin, Robert –

Enlisted May 1916 from 55, Everitt Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Aunt lived at 38, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Several brothers also served. Attached 8th Bn. Reported missing and subsequently presumed killed.

Kirwin, William Frederick Patrick –

Son of William and Catherine Kirwin, of 171, Bridgewater Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Formerly 3878, Seaforth Highlanders. Known to his pals as Jack.

Knott, John –

Son of Charles and Marjory Knott, of 19, Lark Hill, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January/February 1915. Died in hospital in France from shell shot wounds to the legs. Memorial in Farnworth Cemetery.

Lancaster, Fred –

Of 123, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Formerly 18099, 6th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Shot through the lung in 1915 and spent 3 months in hospital in Malta and a further 2 years in England. Returned to France in May 1918 with the King’s Liverpool Regiment. Killed by gunshots to the head. Memorial in Farnworth Cemetery.
