Son of Sam and Hannah Nuttall, of 2, Darley Grove, Farnworth, Lancashire. Killed at Renthel. Reputedly the first Farnworth man killed of the war.

Son of Mrs. Esther Nuttall, of 19, Frederick Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1914. Received shrapnel wounds to arm and shoulder on 09/10/1917 and died next day in No.2 Casualty Clearing Station.

Son of the late Mrs. O’Brien, of 68, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire; husband of Alice O’Brien (nee Dudley), of 86, Crompton Street, Farnworth, Lancashire, and formerly of 45, Cooke Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Wounded on first night in the trenches at Dardanelles, taken to Citadel Military Hospital, Cairo on 09/06/1915 where he had a leg amputated. Service number incorrectly recorded as 16100 on CWGC.
