Son of Mr. J. Hulme, of 93, Lee Lane, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a coppersmith at Horwich Loco Works. Enlisted September 1914. Reported missing 14/09/1916.

Hunter, James –

Son of James and Alice Hunter, of 6, Buchanan Street, Chorley, Lancashire. Formerly 39475, East Lancashire Regiment. Service number incorrectly recorded as 49268 on SDGW.

Ince, Albert –

Husband of Mary H. Ince, of 18, William Street, Chorley, Lancashire. Formerly employed at the Horwich Locomotive Works. Mobilised as a reservist 05/08/1914. Formerly Private 7976, 2nd Bn., and Corporal 7976, 10th Bn., Lancashire Fusiliers. Posted missing since 12/10/1916, and subsequently presumed killed.

Jackson, Hugh Lawrence –

Son of Henry and Annie Jackson, of Hollybrook, New Longton, Preston. Native of Glenthorne, Horwich, Lancashire. Killed by a shell.

Johnson, Robert Crane –

Son of the late John and Katherine Johnson, of 4, Short Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Reported missing since 15/06/1915 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Maurice and Elizabeth Jane Jones, of Myrtle House, Westcliffe Drive, Blackpool, Lancashire, and formerly of Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a clerk in the Horwich Loco Works Accountant’s Office. Enlisted October 1915. Formerly 3984, 1st Life Guards. Posted missing since 18/11/1916 and subsequently presumed killed.

Son of Llewellin Keppel-Palmer, of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Also of Little Haven, Pembrokeshire. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company.

Husband of Mrs. Kilner, of 14, Julia Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Enlisted July 1915. Formerly 21643, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Leach, Thomas Edwin –

Son of John Thomas Leach, of 36, Abraham Street, Horwich, Lancashire, and the late Caroline Leach, formerly of, 4, Leicester Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Previously served with the Bolton Artillery. Reported missing since 15/06/1915 at Festubert, and subsequently presumed killed. A brother serving in France in the signal section of the Royal Engineers. Surname recorded as LEECH on CWGC.

Son of Amy Swift (formerly Leadbetter), of 24, Lynton Street, Salford, Lancashire, and the late Joseph Leadbetter. Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company.

Son of George and Ellen Jane Lesson, of 307, Chorley New Road, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Horwich Loco Works. Enlisted May 1915.

McEvoy, Robert –

Son of Elizabeth Anderson McEvoy, of 29, Webb Street, Horwich, Lancashire. Formerly employed in the Boiler Shop of the Horwich Loco Works. Killed at the same time as his friend Gunner Harry Bardsley.
