Son of Joseph and Annie Ashton, of 236, Manchester Road, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Died of bronchial pneumonia in Salonika.

Astle, Joshua –

Son of John and Catherine Astle, of 52, Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915 in the Border Regiment. Died aged 21 years 20/03/1919 of broncho-pneumonia and influenza, and interred in St. Paul’s (Peel) Churchyard, 22/03/1919.

Formerly employed by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company at Hunt’s Bank, Manchester. Enlisted April 1917 into the Training Reserve Bn. Formerly Royal Fusiliers.

Bayley, Horace –

Son of Alice Bayley, of 20, Park Road, Little Hulton, Lancashire, and the late Company Sergeant Major Thomas Bayley. Formerly of 206, Manchester Road East, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Enlisted as a Bugler aged 14 years. Died from gunshot wound received to the stomach whilst wiring the entanglement in front of the trench. Surname recorded as BAILEY in BJ&G / F&WJ.
