Son of John and Catherine Astle, of 52, Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1915 in the Border Regiment. Died aged 21 years 20/03/1919 of broncho-pneumonia and influenza, and interred in St. Paul’s (Peel) Churchyard, 22/03/1919.
