Eldest son of George and Alice Ann Black, of 54, Hughes Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed by a piece of a shell glancing off a tree and piercing his helmet and skull.

Bleakley, William –

Son of William and Margaret Bleakley, of 21, St. John Street, Kearsley, Lancashire. Of 11, Manor Cottages, Kearsley, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Newtown Pit by the Clifton and Kearsley Colliery Company. Enlisted October 1915. Posted missing since 11/09/1918 and subsequently presumed killed. St. Gregory’s R.C. Church. Brother John served in the Lancashire Fusiliers.

Of 24, Clarke Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915. Formerly 4555, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. On St. Paul’s, Deansgate, Roll of Honour. Death reported in BJ&G as being 10/05/1917, at which date he was reported missing, and subsequently presumed killed.

Husband of Mrs. Boardman, of 21, Lyon Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 3551, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported missing since 09/08/1916 and subsequently presumed killed. His son Jack also served in France.

Brundrett, Joseph –

Son of Thomas and Amelia Brundrett, of 10, Wardley Street, Walkden, Lancashire, and formerly of, Granville Street, Walkden, Lancashire. At the outbreak of war he was working at the Homewood Sanatorium, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and returned to England to enlist. Died of severe gunshot wounds.
