Son of James and Mary Dearden, of 53, Westminster Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Of Tynesbank Road, Walkden, Lancashire.

Dorning, Harry –

Son of Henry and Elizabeth Alice Dorning, of 74, Churchgate, Stockport, Cheshire. Formerly 11th Bn.

Edwards, John –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwards, of Bolton, Lancashire; husband of the late A. Edwards; brother of Caroline Woodcock (nee Edwards), of 53, Ellesmere Street, Farnworth, Lancashire. Served in the South African Campaign. Killed when a German mine exploded under the dugout.

Edwards, Thomas –

Son of Thomas and Susannah Edwards, of 184a, Bolton Road, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1917. Died at the No.83 General Hospital, Boulogne, from gunshot wounds to the head and left foot.

Ellis, Thomas George Rowland –

Only son of George Rowland Ellis and Ellen Ellis, of Worsley, Lancashire. Born at Beccles, Suffolk. Volunteered in 1915. Was in France only 17 days.

Evans, Abraham –

Husband of Mary Bessie Evans, of 14, Edge Fold, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted September 1916. Reported missing since 09/04/1918 and subsequently confirmed prisoner of war in Germany. Possible death Q4, 1923, Barton on Irwell, aged 41 years.

Evans, Harold –

Son of Charles and Ann Evans, of 1, Salford Road, Little Hulton, Lancashire; husband of Ophelia Evans, of 9, Campbell Street, Walkden, Lancashire, and formerly of 4, Ellesmere Street, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Killed while going out for a wounded comrade near Ypres. Service number incorrectly recorded as 89600 on SDGW.

Evans, James –

Son of William Thomas and Emma Evans (nee Cooke), of 19, Holly Avenue, Walkden, Lancashire. Reported missing since 26/09/1917 and subsequently presumed killed.

Farnworth, Herbert –

Son of Peter and Elizabeth Farnworth, of 36, Wardley Street, Walkden, Lancashire. Enlisted February 1917. Killed by a sniper.
