Son of Charles and Ann Evans, of 1, Salford Road, Little Hulton, Lancashire; husband of Ophelia Evans, of 9, Campbell Street, Walkden, Lancashire, and formerly of 4, Ellesmere Street, Little Hulton, Lancashire. Killed while going out for a wounded comrade near Ypres. Service number incorrectly recorded as 89600 on SDGW.
