Son of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes, of, 138, Chaddock Lane, Boothstown, Lancashire. Formerly employed at Mosley Common Colliery. Originally reported wounded on 31/08/1918, and subsequently reported killed.

Higginbottom, Walter –

Son of Joseph and Lilla Higginbottom, of 12, Mill Brow, Worsley, Lancashire. Formerly employed as a clerk at the Bridgewater Offices. Enlisted August 1914. Captured prisoner of war April 1918 at St. Quentin. Died from influenza in the Imperial Fortress Hospital, Strasbourg.
