Bond, Henry James –

Husband of Priscilla Bond, of Brookfield Cottage, Tonge Bridge, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1915, “Group System”. Enlisted September 1916.

Bromiley, Jack –

Son of Stanley and Alice Emily Bromiley, of 12, Romer Street, Tonge Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of the Ridgways Endowed School and the Bolton Church Institute. Died at the 61st Casualty Clearing Station at Dozinghem.

Butterworth, Harold –

Son of Edwin and Louisa Butterworth, of 387, Bury Road, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire. Killed at Blackpool Central Public Library whilst on guard duty there.

Cass, Vincent –

Husband of Martha Cass, of 1, Hag End Brow, Haulgh, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 20, Cemetery Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded by gunshot in the stomach 20/06/1915.

Casson, Harry Gent –

Son of James and Hannah Casson, of 395, Bury Road, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of the late Nellie Casson (nee Edge), and formerly of 264, Burton Road, Lincoln, Lincs. An old boy of the Bolton Church Institute. Formerly 28th Bn., London Regiment. Died from shell wounds to the head and shoulder at No.1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, St. Venant, Pas de Calais.

Son of Richard and Sarah Chadburn, of 23, Hilton Street, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire.

Crompton, Thomas –

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Crompton, of 48, Union Road, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Ruth Crompton, of 32, Clarendon Road, Tonge, Bolton, Lancashire. Wounded in the head in 1915.

Davies, Robert –

Husband of Annie Tindsley (formerly Davies), of 1, Flora Street, Salford, Lancashire, and formerly of 64, Ainsworth Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly employed by William Walker and Sons, Rose Hill Tannery. Enlisted April 1916. Posted missing since 20/09/1917 and subsequently presumed killed. Victoria Wesleyan.

Davies, Harry –

Son of the late James and Mary Ellen Davies of 2, Belvoir Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Native of Tonge Fold, Bolton, Lancashire. Injured by a motor on 30/05/1915 and had a foot amputated in a hospital in Boulogne.

Dean, Herbert Arthur –

Husband of Florence Dean (nee Corns), of 46, Trafalgar Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and later of 146 Hollingreave Road, Burnley, Lancashire. Formerly of 210, Ainsworth Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously PC172 of the Bolton County Borough Police from 14/01/1910 until resignation 23/04/1913. (Bolton Archives: ABJ/22/173) Served as acting Sergeant during war service. Discharged due to valvular disease of the heart. Died 02/12/1918 aged 32, residing at 16, Hengist Street, Bolton, Lancashire and interred 06/12/1918 in Breightmet (St. James) Churchyard.
