Palmer, James –

Husband of Elizabeth Palmer, of 88, Reservoir Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. Formerly 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Attached 4th Bn. at time of death. Two brothers serving, Thomas in Mesopotamia.

Parkinson, Alfred –

Only son of Joseph and Mary Ann Parkinson, of 72, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 43, Burnham Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1906-1911). An old boy of Bolton Municipal Secondary School. Formerly Private 2425, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded in the head on 15/05/1915, rejoining his Regiment in December 1915. Commissioned September 1916 to the Manchesters.

Son of George and Ellen Parsisson, of 56, Slaterfield, Bolton, Lancashire, formerly of 52, Bull Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Brother of Mr. W. Parsisson, of 45, Haydock Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 3702, Lancashire Fusiliers.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Partington, of 93, High Street, Bolton, Lancashire; husband of Mrs. Partington, of 19, Broach Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted May 1915.

Parton, Paul –

Son of Thomas Henry and Alice Mary Eliza Parton, of 45, Division Street, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly of 16, Holden Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted March 1915. Formerly Private 4346, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Wounded 29/07/1917. Bandsman with the Bolton Salvation Army. Younger brother served in the Royal Marines.

Patrick, William Henry –

Son of George Patrick, of 21, Mehearn Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 15, Ninehouse Lane, Great Lever, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted April 1915. Caught aged 19 as a deserter from 3rd/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Weeton Camp since 11/08/1915, since 08/09/1915, and since 14/09/1915. Appeared before Bolton Magistrates 19/08/1915, 09/09/1915, and 25/09/1915 to be sent back to his unit under escort. (Bolton Archives: JBO/1/26). Wounded 10/10/1916.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Pickvance, of 28, Gordon Avenue, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Suffered trench fever and dysentery.

Pilkington, John –

Son of Hugh and Sarah Pilkington, of 14, Ribblesdale Road, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Reported wounded and missing since 20/09/1917 and subsequently presumed to have been killed.

Poole, Frederick –

Son of James and Margaret Poole, of 11, Reservoir Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Formerly 44957, South Lancashire Regiment.

Popplewell, Oswald –

Son of Harry and Emma Popplewell, of 24, Tildsley Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted November 1914. Formerly 2918, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Reported taken prisoner of war November 1917, and subsequently to have died of wounds in Germany.

Richards, William Ince –

Nephew of Miss Ince, of 87, Venture Street, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted January 1915. Formerly Loyal North Lancashire Regiment.

Son of the late Richard and Ann Rodgers, of 104, Holden Street, Bolton, Lancashire. A member of the Great Lever Division of the Bolton Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
