Formerly Sergeant 2913, 1st/5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Surrendered aged 22 as an absentee from 4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment at Oswestry since 16/05/1917 appearing before Bolton Magistrates 22/05/1917 to be sent back to his unit under escort.
