Of 7, Horrocks Street, Pendlebury, Lancashire, was a builder’s labourer who joined up aged 31. Awarded a small pension due to gunshot wound to left arm. He was interred in Swinton Unitarian Chapelyard but recently reinterred in Swinton Cemetery. His brother John was killed in action in France.
