Only son of Major John Booth, V.D., J.P. and Mary Agnes Booth (nee Taylor), of Turton, Lancashire; husband of Elsie Mary Booth (nee Monk), of Horrobin Fold, Turton, Lancashire. Brother of Mrs. M. Robinson, of Coedmor, Aberoch, Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire. An old boy of Bolton Grammar School (1895-1899). Formerly 4th Bn., East Lancashire Regiment. Died at the Cottonera Military Hospital, Malta. His son, Robert Arthur Booth, died in 1943 while serving as a Lieutenant in the Middlesex Regiment.
